Sometimes you need to get something done inexpensively. Sometimes you just can't (or don't want to....) wait. Sometimes you need a project for yourself. And sometimes all of these are true! This is when I DIY things in my own home. Here are a few examples of projects I have done that turned out ok and saved a bit of money. And, my dogs are always happy when I have a project they can help with (or bark at). I will add videos that I find useful in my own searches. My dog is getting old and refused to come down to office. These old wooden stairs had seen better days, so first, I cleaned them up. After that, I repainted the wood. I found three standard sized runners on sale on Dash & Albert. In the non-DIY part, I had a carpet installer join and install the three runners Now the stairs are clean, padded, and safe!
